What is the "Value"of
New Customer
From speaking
with Limo companies we have found many do not know the true value of acquiring
a new customer. Most respond with the price of the type
of trip that they are taking. They think in terms of a single ride.
What percentage of your current business is repeat business ? What
percentage of your current business is from referrals ? What percentage
of your high margin rides (weddings etc) is repeat business. To calculate
the true value of a new customer you will need to use averages for the

Again when
we ask a lot of companies what their cost of acquiring a new customer is,
they do not know. You need to understand and track your advertising
efforts so you can determine which to continue and which to stop.
For every new customer who contacts you need to know "HOW" they heard about
you.
Whether they
saw an ad in the Yellow Pages, Local Newspaper, Radio Ad, Internet,
etc. or whether they were referred by an existing customer, the only way
for you to continue to improve your advertising effectiveness is to monitor

you ... you need to.

most important thing you can do is ask for referrals from your existing
customers. Give them a discount coupon for referrals or tell them
refer 3 new customers and get a free trip, be creative but working your

all you care about is how many of these visitors will call you and inquire
about your business, and how many of those you can convert to customers.

Another popular
site is LimoLink.com. They operate on a different model where companies
need to go through a rigorous process to be approved as affiliated companies.
They must agree to accept "whoesale" pricing for referrals from LimoLink.
I don't have the specifics but you would be paying a much larger portion
but only on actual trips.
LimousineDirectory.com
We just found
this site not too long ago, so I'm not that familiar with them, but the
offer on their website is a good one. They offer a $30 per year listing
for your company and claim to have the largest database of limousine companies.
You need to understand your company may be listed with many other companies,
so the traffic may be minimal. We were not successful in finding
them through various search engines so can not speak to the level of traffic
they may be getting.
At $30 per
year we would recommend you trying their service in addition to ours.
